Instructions in case of surgery intervention

 

ARRIVAL TO HOSPITAL
Make plans to arrive one hour prior to scheduled time of your procedure unless otherwise instructed.

 

ALLERGY TO MEDICATIONS
All medications or drug allergies must be noted prior to surgery.

 

ANESTHESIA
Due to anesthesia side effects, you must observe the following instructions,the night before surgery:
1- Eat a light supper the night before surgery.
2- Do not eat or drink anything after midnight, not even water!
3- Do not take any drugs eccept those prescribed by your surgeon.
4- Bathing is permitted. 

POST-OPERATIVE MANAGEMENT AND TRANSPORTATION
Plan to have someone stay with you for the first post-operative night. Your post-operative transportation must be prearranged.

 

HOME CARE AFTER SURGERY
Before leaving the hospital you will receive verbal and written instructions for your post-operative care including diet, medications, activity restrictions…etc specific to your operation.

 

RECUPERATION
You must be off work for a number of days prescribed by your surgeon.
